21 September 1944: Tac RHQ moved into Holland to area NW of Leende. Main RHQ moved to area 2 kms North of Achel.

23 September 1944: 1745 - Tac RHQ moved to Someren. F. Tp 173 LAA Bty engaged 2 enemy posns, which inf were unable to dislodge. Enemy surrendered after shoot and 10 prisoners taken. 40 rds expended.

 

24 September 1944: Main RHQ moved to area Sterksel.

 

25 September 1944: Tac RHQ moved across Bois De Duc Canal to Deurne and again to area 3 kms SE of Gemert.

 

26 September 1944: Tac RHQ moved. Main RHQ moved to area North of Bakel.

 

27 September 1944: E. Tp 173 LAA Bty engaged ME 109E at 1500 ft. Five rds fired. Planes took cover behind low cloud. No claims.

 

28 September 1944: G. Tp 174 LAA Bty with RA A Echelon engaged one ME 109G. Hit claimed. 1430 - G.Tp 174 LAA Bty engaged one ME 109G hit claimed. B. Tp 172 LAA Bty engaged enemy OP Tower fired 24 rds A.P and 51 rds H.E. Bursts obtained in close proximity to tower, but owing to extreme range and difficulty of observation, impossible to tell whether bursts were hits. Area neutralised.

9 October 1944: 1330 - A Tp 172 LAA Bty fired 19 rds 88 mm. Target enemy Inf Coy HQ and Obsevation Tower. Observed with OP.

 

10 October 1944: Complete restriction on A.A. firing between 1600 - 1900 hrs.

 

11 October 1944: Complete restriction on A.A. firing between 1100 - 1400 hrs. 1400 - A Tp 172 LAA Bty fired 20 rds 88 mm. Target Venray. Predicted shoot. 2130 - RA 11 Armd Div O.O. No 12 dtd 11 Oct 44 received.

 

12 October 1944: 1130 - A Tp 172 LAA Bty fired 50 rds 88 mm. Target station and area to SE in support of 159 Inf Bde. Unobserved shoot from OP area Mullen. Good results with several airbursts due to richocheting. 1600 -  RA 11 Armd Div O.O. No 13 dd 12 Oct 44 received. RA 11 Armd Div Adm Order No 1 dtd 12 Oct 44 received.

 

13 October 1944: 1200 - A Tp 172 LAA Bty fired 28 rds 88 mm. Target wood, enemy Inf HQ and outposts. Observed shoot. Results - satisfactory.
